Introducing the Blackbird Blade. Inspired by the SR-71 Blackbird, our vision was clear - engineer the most badass blade ever built. Bringing a handful of minds together rooted in the special operations community with real-world experience, we are confident we’ve built the ultimate tactical, no-nonsense blade. We started with the development of the handle, since that is the point of contact for the end user. We’ve taken the average hand size of men and increased it a little to adjust for wearing gloves during combat or hunting operations and came up with the ideal handle length. The skeletonized full-tang handle is designed to provide lightweight structure and can be used with or without our Blackbird Handles, depending on the type of operation being conducted. We are using G10 for the handle material, which is a high-pressure fiberglass laminate made of woven glass cloth and epoxy resin, which will remain grippy when wet. The handle is removable and interchangeable with various style options and colorways.

Additionally, we added jimping to the butt of the handle, optimal for a reversed edge-out grip for puncturing or prying. We also have jimping on the thumb rise optimal for a saber grip for piercing. We made sure to have a sizable guard to stop the end user's hand from sliding up onto the blade edge while thrusting. We added a large finger choil, giving the option to shift the pivot point forward on the blade for enhanced precision and control during finer cutting movements. This also allows the end user the ability to sharpen the entire blade edge easily without striking the guard in the process.

For steel, we used S35VN, a premium stainless steel that offers an excellent balance of edge retention, toughness and corrosion resistance. For the shape of the blade, we chose a clip point design with tapered false edges and a sabre grind - optimized for piercing, chopping and slashing. We also centered the tip along the overall length of the blade providing reinforcement for thrusting. Lastly, the blade is finished with Cerakote®, a specialized, high-performance ceramic-based coating to enhance the durability and corrosion resistance of our blade. The Blackbird Blade stands unmatched and is one of the most reliable and versatile tactical utility blades on the market.

Blackbird Sheath PRODEV -

After dozens of sheath iterations and testing we have found the optimal balance of blade retention and pull strength to feel confident that our blade will not eject unintentionally. Our sheath is built to grab the blade's guard, leaving the entire handle unobstructed for a full grip during sheathing and unsheathing. For added security, especially during high-risk operations, we’ve integrated a secondary bungee retention system and pull tab which comes standard on our Blackbird Sheath to feel confident you won’t lose your blade.

In collaboration with Discreet Carry Concepts (DCC), we’ve incorporated their proprietary 1.5” Monoblock Gear Clip®, which mounts to our Sheath Adaptor Plate (SAP). Each sheath includes both left and right SAPs, which attaches to our sheath allowing for a left or right vertical carry option. For a left or right horizontal carry option, the SAP can be removed allowing for direct attachment of the DCC Monoblock Gear Clip® to the sheath.

We’ve spent hundreds of hours dialing in our sheath to match the exceptional quality and precision of our blade. Unlike many competitors who treat their sheaths as an afterthought, we made sure ours is not. #WithoutCompromise

Customer photo review of CUSTOM TEAM BLADES

Retired military aviator. I'm lucky enough to maintain a lifelong friendship with the owner's/makers of these blades. They gifted me this custom early production run, 028, several years ago. I've tested a lot of kit, it's the attention to detail, lined sheath no audible kydex "snap." You'd need to work to destroy these blades. Will cleave a taught lead line on a spooked horse in a single stroke. If you're so inclined will puncture a standard car trunk. Further, if you're able to drive into a tree with sufficient depth, does support a man's weight without bending the spine. If you're like me, you'll have a lot of other knives laying in a kit box, don't need to carry them after you get one of these. They've only improved with new model production.

Customer photo review of BLACKBIRD // SHADOW BLACK

The Blackbird is exactly what it says it is, a combat utility blade, but it's also a whole lot more. The skeletonized handle is very tactile, and it's super easy to get a really positive grip on it. The jimping is in all the right places, like for bearing down on the belly for fine cutting, or for holding in a reverse grip in case you have to puncture something. This blade also has a nice, high, flat grind, which makes it more useful for hunting, fishing or hiking, as it's a pretty nice slicer. The lanyard hole is also a really welcomed feature, because for some reason these get left out on knives a lot recently. I could go on and on about the sheath too, because for once you can buy a knife where the sheath is as excellent as the blade is. Superb retention, and really well done. Anyway, I waited a really long time to get a Triple Point Syndicate blade, and the wait was definitely worth it!

Active Duty Navy EOD Tech, and this blade far exceeds my expectations. Having both of the mounting options is perfect for combat equipment, helicopter fast roping and rappelling, and quick access for cutting explosives. The handle is minimal weight so you don't even feel the blade on your kit. Would be a perfect gift for a team or platoon.

Triple Point absolutely nailed it. This knife is outstanding in both craftsmanship and performance. The design is sleek yet practical, with excellent balance and attention to detail. Built from high-quality materials, it feels durable and reliable for both everyday use and tougher tasks. Overall, it’s a knife that combines function, strength, and timeless design.

BLACKBIRD // COYOTE BROWN

Exceptional customer service. This blade build quality is well beyond other blades I’ve had. It’s a BADASS customized blade. I absolutely love the detailed pictures showing all the ways it can be hard mounted. Plus the modular build allowing you to change handles is something I’ve never had.

20 year Navy Seal (retired). Contractor/trainer for many years after. First of all “OUTSTANDING” Knife and Sheath. It’s a long review but worth reading. I also collect knives. THE KNIFE: This is the best quality, ergonomic knife I have used. Its flat Sabre blade is multifunctional for Military Operators in the field, game hunters, survivalist, or outdoors in General. The s35vn steel speaks for itself. Tapered false edges on top of the blade is a good addition. The G10 handle has a really good grip. The jimping (notches cut into the spine and back of the tang) are perfect for enhanced grip, and improved control, and these are legit. Most knives are just cosmetic and don’t really serve a purpose. The finger choil (recessed area bottom of blade where it meets the handle) is big enough to actually use even with gloves, and to get your hand forward on the handle for more technical and precision tasks, also the handle is long enough to use with gloves.THE SHEATH: I have to say the majority of quality knives don’t have good sheaths. This sheath is spot on. When the knife goes in the sheath you get a solid click so you know it’s secure as well as a secondary retention bungee cord for added retention. You also have the entire handle exposed for a solid grip when removing from sheath. The SAP plate is great to interchange right and left side. The DCC clip is solid for a quick removal from your belt. It’s also available with the MAP Plate for a more permanent attachment to an Operator belt, plate carrier ect. It fits nice and flat. The knife and sheath combined I feel is lightweight which is good in the field. I have T&E’d lots of gear in the last 40 years, and yes personal preference is a big part, but when it comes to to quality, ergonomics, and functionality I think most of use are on the same sheet of music. In my opinion this is the total package. The different colors, cammo patterns, and packaging are a big plus. This company had to put a lot of time, effort, and money to come up with this combo.

BLACKBIRD // COYOTE BROWN

SOLID KNIVES. BETTER VALUE BUT STILL A QUALITY PRODUCT COMPARED TO OTHER COMPANIES.
